Your data
Last changed 30 July 2026.
This is the whole inventory. If something is not on this list, tagcheck does not have it.
The complete list of what is stored
- Your email address, from signing in with Google. It is the only thing the sign-in returns to us and it is what the mail goes to.
- The listings you track — id, title, shop name, and link, so the board has something to show besides a number.
- The phrases you track, exactly as you typed them.
- Two positions per phrase: today's and the previous pass's.
- The best position ever seen, one integer.
- The time of the last check, and the position last mailed about, so the same news is not sent twice.
What is deliberately not stored
- No rank history. Each pass overwrites the last. There is no series to chart and no way to reconstruct one.
- No Etsy account connection. tagcheck never asks you to authorise it against Etsy, so it has no token, and no route to anything private in your shop.
- No prices, stock, or sales. Not needed to answer "what position am I".
- No analytics, no third-party scripts, no advertising, no tracking cookies. The site serves no JavaScript at all — there is nothing here that could follow you.
Cookies
One, holding a signed session id so the site knows the board is yours. It is
HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax, and Secure. Signing out
deletes it. There is no second cookie.
Who else sees it
Google, at the moment you sign in, because you chose to sign in with them. The mail provider that carries an alert, because a message has to travel. Cloudflare, which runs the site and the database. Nobody else — the data is not sold, shared, or handed to advertisers, and there are no advertisers.
Etsy's part of it
Listing details reached tagcheck through Etsy's public API and are refreshed on every pass rather than accumulated. Only the current values are kept, in line with Etsy's API terms on retention.
Erasing it
Account → Close and erase. One click, immediate, no confirmation email, no waiting period, no retained copy: the email address, every tracked phrase, and every stored position are deleted in a single transaction. Or write to support@tagcheck.uk and it will be done for you.
